Okay, So I haven’t posted in a LONG time. Not sure why I haven’t posted but I just haven’t. Well, I am back and I promise to be consistent and fun!
Confession: I haven’t worked out for about 5 years, seriously. I want to get back in physical shape, feel good and confident about myself and appearance all while keeping up with my kids. I wanted to conserve money all while having fun and being a stay at home with a business.
Plan: Each day while the kids eat breakfast I am starting up the treadmil..yes I am still in my pajamas at this time.. and running for 5min. That’s it. Then it is the real “go” time. Speed Cleaning! yes you heard it. Speed cleaning for the next 20min while the kids finish eating and start playing. Here’s the burner….ANYTHING you pick up off the floor has to be in “Squat” format.. No more bending over ladies! You must keep your knees above your toes, push your butt out and down to the floor, as low as you need to go to pick up. The amazing thing is at least the floor of your house is clean for you to do part 3 of your workout at home:
Part III – Drool Down
Cool down, possibly called Drool Down. By this time your kids have already put all of their toys that you have picked up back on a different floor -you can repeat step 2 at anytime through out the day =) - usually about 4 times=)
Lay on your back with knees up. Your child can sit on your shins, grab tight to his/her feet and bounce your feet up and down. Your child will love it and you will finish burning off those last night’s “one more cookie” before bed and you will be spending amazing fun time with your kids. You can do this with infants on up. Lay your babe on their stomach on your shins head facing you. You grab their hands, do a half crunch as your hands rest on either side of your babe and slowly raise your feet up and down. It will also help your babe with strengthening their neck muscles.
Get creative, have fun with it and do the same activities your kids do. I challenge you to do everything your toddler does for 10 min. Let me know if you were able to keep up!
Make sure to take your before and after pics so you can create your before and after storybook!!!
